VINTON (WSLS10) - Children of all ages are learning ways to eat healthier. Volunteers at the Vinton's Farmer's market held their monthly "Bake, Shake and Sprout" event.
It's where children make healthy food like salads. They can also plant vegetables and exercise.
Workers said they hold the event every month and are glad to see young people living healthier lifestyles.
"That's exactly what we're trying to get people to do more of all three things container gardening is a great way to get kids to eat more vegetables cause when they grow something they tend to taste it and more taste tends to lead to eating it more regularly," Meredith Johnson, a volunteer said.
