CRAIG COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Two contractors were arrested for alleged trespassing while conducting environmental surveys on behalf of the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) and TetraTech.

According to a representative from EQT, the two ESI workers were on U.S. Forest Services property in Craig County when it happened. EQT said MVP was given permission to conduct survey work on the property and plants samples were allowed to be collected in order to get required laboratory identifications.

The ESI contractors conducting the environmental surveys seem to have accidentally parked their vehicle on the edge of a private road. However, it is unclear whether there was a no trespassing sign posted. The ESI workers said they did not know the road was private.
