ROANOKE (WSLS) - Crowds packed Elmwood Park for the 26th Annual Henry Street Festival. Performers at this year's event include Johnny Gill, Vivian Green and 90's Hip-Hop act Kid and Play.
The festival also included food, vendors and other activities. Organizers said last year's 25th anniversary had a big crowd. They were excited to have good weather and large numbers of attendees again this year.
"We are feeling real good and in order for all of this to be successful you have to have good weather" said Joyce Boulden, Henry Street organizer. " And to have two years of good weather. You can't ask for anything better than that."
Proceeds from the event go toward the Harrison Museum of African-American Culture.
