WATE 6 On Your Side staff - PIGEON FORGE (WATE) – Dollywood is closed through December 2 as fires burn through Gatlinburg.

The park, cabins and DreamMore Resort were evacuated Monday evening. Pete Owens, a spokesperson for Dollywood, said there is no damage to the park. DreamMore is already back open and the theme park will resume operations Friday at 2 p.m.

"The work firefighters did last night with our crew protected the structure of all the buildings here on park. Dollywood's Dream More Resort is fine as well," said Owens. "The bad news for us is about a dozen of our cabins, to this point, that are part of Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Cabins were damaged or destroyed as part of the Ridge Top fires.".

"I have been watching the terrible fires in the Great Smoky Mountains and I am heartbroken. I am praying for all the families affected by the fire and the firefighters who are working so hard to keep everyone safe. It is a blessing that my Dollywood theme park, the DreamMore Resort, Dixie Stampede and so many businesses in Pigeon Forge have been spared," Dolly Parton said.
