ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Lawmakers in the commonwealth are part of a campaign to get new registered voters in each precinct.
Tuesday morning Delegate Sam Rasoul and volunteers went door to door in Northwest Roanoke for the 90 for 90 campaign.
The campaign is in honor of Dr. William Ferguson Reid who celebrated his 90th birthday in march. Reid was the first black man to win a seat in the Virginia General Assembly since Reconstruction.
People we spoke to said it meant a lot of have someone knowledgeable to help them register.
