LAKE NORMAN, NC (WSLS10)-- A local musician is playing in North Carolina, for his chance to perform at the Carolina Country Music Festival as the opening act for Keith Urban.

Zac Price grew up in Craig County and now lives in the Roanoke area. The musician has quickly moved through a Battle of the Bands competition, and is now in the final four.

He and his band will compete tonight at the Rusty Rudder in Lake Norman. They're up against another performer, Michael Grayson Campbell.  The winner is based on crowd response, so Price is working to get as many fans to the performance as possible.

The winner of tonight's competition will go on to compete in the final round in Charlotte, for a chance to open for Keith Urban in Myrtle Beach later this summer.
