Four displaced after fire at Lynchburg duplex

LYNCHBURG, Va.UPDATE

Four people are displaced after a fire at a duplex in Lynchburg.

Authorities say the fire happened around 9:40 p.m. Monday at the Village Oake Town Homes on Carrington Road.

According to fire department officials, no one was hurt and the fire was under control in 10 minutes.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities say it started in the basement of one of the units.

Damages are estimated to be around $10,000.
