Owner of Franklin County staple, ‘Ruth’s Place,’ has died

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – The owner of a Franklin County food staple has died.

The namesake of “Ruth’s Place” died Tuesday night, surrounded by friends and family.

According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, they honored her with a menu she loved.

Back in December, she was able to have her final wish -- one last Christmas surrounded by her friends and family.
