Lynchburg police investigating after shots fired at cars and a home

No injuries reported, police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Police are investigating reported gunfire that happened Tuesday afternoon, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

Several shots were fired in the 800 block of Brook Street, about two blocks away from Miller Park, according to police.

While no one was hurt, bullets hit multiple cars, as well as a home in the area.

“I heard ‘pop, pop, pop, pop’ and it scared the crap out of me. I walked outside, and there was nobody there. And I went to talk to the neighbors, and everybody else heard the same thing,” said a neighbor, claiming she’s heard gunshots four times in one month.

The scene is no longer active, according to police.
