Roanoke Valley Mustang Club is gearing up for the Annual Mustang & Ford Powered Round-Up

There will be more than 100 mustangs on display

ROANOKE, Va. – This weekend, mustang owners will rev up their engines for a great cause.

On Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can join Roanoke Valley Mustang Club at Magic City Ford in Roanoke for the 33rd Annual Mustang & Ford Powered Round-Up.

The event will be free to the public, but if you want to join the more than 100 mustangs that will be on display, there is a registration fee. All proceeds will go to the Virginia Museum of Transportation and the Mill Mountain Zoo.

“I think charity is number one. They give so much to our community here in Roanoke,” said Bobby LaPrade, president of the Roanoke Valley Mustang Club. “The animals up on the mountain need help. Our transportation museum needs help, especially during this pandemic time. So it is nice to be able to give back to them.”

The show is the largest collection of Mustangs in Southwest Virginia.
