6-year-old girl airlifted to hospital after being hit by vehicle in Danville, police say

Authorities say she suffered minor injuries and a non-life-threatening head injury

DANVILLE, Va. – A 6-year-old girl was airlifted to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle on Monday at about 4:05 p.m., according to the Danville Police Department.

We’re told children were playing in the front yard when the little girl ran into the street and was hit by the car.

Danville Police report that she has minor injuries and a non-life-threatening head injury.

No charges have been placed against the driver, according to authorities.

Correction: We were initially told by authorities that the child involved was 8 years old, but they have since sent a correction, saying that she was 6 years old.
