Roanoke County couple thanks first responders for saving husband's life

Roanoke, Va – A Roanoke County husband and wife thank first responders face to face for saving his life.

Tom and Kim Jones stopped by Station 2 in Roanoke City a week after he went into cardiac arrest and coded while eating lunch.

The couple is grateful for the opportunity to say thanks.

“If not for them I would not be here today. I think that's a well-known fact and I just feel like they take care of the community day in and day out and I feel like we need to take care of these folks,” Tom explained.

“Thank you for bringing my husband back to me. They're wonderful,” Kim said.

One first responder says it's rare to see someone feeling so well just one week after a "code save."
