JACKSON, Miss. – A 12-year-old Mississippi girl got to help deliver her baby brother in a Jackson hospital on Tuesday.
WLBT reported Jacee was asked to step in to help when her mother’s doctor at Baptist Hospital, Dr. Walter Wolfe, saw Jacee watching and eagerly supporting her mother.

Jacee’s mom, Dede Carraway, recalled that Wolfe asked if Jacee wanted to deliver the baby herself. Jacee said she did.
Jacee was outfitted in proper medical attire and the doctor guided her hands and helped her through the entire birth, including cutting the umbilical cord.
In a Facebook post about the birth, Carraway wrote: "I have the most AMAZING doctor!"
Jacee’s excited reactions were captured on camera by the baby’s father, WLBT reported.
Carraway gave birth to Cason, a 7-pound, 6-ounce baby bundle.
One person commented on the Facebook post about the special delivery: "Oh my gosh," Jennifer Frick wrote. "I have chill bumps looking at her reacting. She will love that brother even MORE because you let her be part of this. My heart is going to explode!"
