This will be the first time the Winter Olympics will be available to all viewers across the country at the same time.

NBC Olympics production and programming president Jim Bell made the announcement saying all Americans will be able to share in what he calls the communal experience of the Olympic games at the same time, including both broadcast and streaming content.

Bell also pointed out that social media won't be ahead of the Olympic action in any time zone.

On most nights during the games, NBC's primetime coverage, hosted for the first time by Mike Tirico, will begin at 8 p.m.

NBC's coverage of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games from PyeongChang, South Korea begins Thursday, February 8, 2018, with opening ceremonies taking place Friday, February 9.
