Mark Belcher, News 4 Digital Producer - CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A host of complaints about a neighborhood ice cream truck driver forced the response of police in Erie County, New York Friday night.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputies said they received reports of the driver of an ice cream truck screaming at people while scantily clothed. Police said they arrived to find Ryan Duff, a 24-year-old man, wearing only his underwear.
A police investigation led officers to believe he was under the influence, so they arrested him and brought him in for drug testing. Although Duff refused testing, police said a drug recognition expert decided he was impaired by drugs.
Police charged Duff with DWI, drug, and other charges. He'll return to Clarence Town Court on August 25.
