Petunia was stolen from her perch at Rainbow Riders Childcare in Blacksburg.

The children at the facility decorated the 5-foot, fiberglass statue.

In a release from the Partnership, CEcD President Diane Akers said "Each bird is hand painted, but this one has special meaning as it was the children at Rainbow Riders who painted and decorated the bird, whom they've fondly named Petunia."
