Virginia sees 1,435 new coronavirus cases, now reporting 194,912 statewide

There are now 3,726 deaths from the coronavirus in Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. – As of November 10, Virginia is now reporting 194,912 cases of the coronavirus across the commonwealth since March.

Tuesday’s total of 194,912 cases marks an increase from Monday’s total of 193,477 cases.

Here’s a breakdown of the 1,435 new cases reported on Tuesday:

  • 130 new cases in Fairfax County
  • 81 new cases in Prince William County
  • 73 new cases in Loudoun County and Virginia Beach
  • 58 new cases in Roanoke
  • 52 new cases in Chesterfield County
  • 49 new cases in Norfolk
  • 47 new cases in Henrico County
  • 41 new cases in Montgomery County
  • 38 new cases in Culpeper County
  • 36 new cases in Roanoke County
  • 33 new cases in Arlington County
  • 29 new cases in Chesapeake and Hanover County
  • 27 new cases in Richmond
  • 24 new cases in Newport News and Danville
  • 21 new cases in Bedford County
  • 19 new cases in Washington County and Fauquier County
  • 18 new cases in Franklin County and Tazewell County
  • 17 new cases in Lynchburg
  • 16 new cases in Alexandria and Salem
  • 15 new cases in Spotsylvania County, Shenandoah County and Bristol
  • 14 new cases in Henry County
  • 13 new cases in Carroll County, Rockingham County and Portsmouth
  • 12 new cases in Stafford County, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Scott County and Dickenson County
  • 11 new cases in Frederick County, Hampton, Lee County and Prince Edward County
  • 10 new cases in Wythe County and Pulaski County
  • 9 new cases in Winchester County, Albemarle County, Russell County and Martinsville
  • 8 new cases in Wise County, Orange County and Charlotte County
  • 7 new cases in Nottoway County and Goochaldn County
  • 6 new cases in Manassas, Suffolk, Prince George County and Grayson County
  • 5 new cases in Radford, Buchanan County, Alleghany County, King William County and Caroline County
  • 4 new cases in Clarke County, Floyd County, Covington and Richmond County
  • 3 new cases in Smyth County, Warren County, Pittsylvania County, Dinwiddie County, Page County, York County, Louisa County, Giles County, Hopewell, Fluvanna County, Williamsburg, Botetourt County, Fredericksburg, Greene County, Essex County and King and Queen County
  • 2 new cases in Augusta County, James City County, Campbell County, Halifax County, Petersburg, Galax, Waynesboro, Mecklenburg County, New Kent County, Colonial Heights, Isle of Wight County, Madison County, Fairfax, Buena Vista, Northumberland County and Lunenberg County
  • 1 new case in Staunton, Brunswick County, Amherst County, Patrick County, Cumberland County, Charles City County, Powhatan County, Buckingham County, Bland County, Greensville County, Lancaster County, Franklin and Nelson County
  • Appomattox County, King and George County and Falls Church all decreased by one case
  • Rockbridge County and Bath County decreased by two cases

As of Tuesday, the Virginia Dept. of Health reports there have been 3,045,116 total testing encounters.

The term “testing encounters” includes individuals who have been tested more than once due to their profession, high-risk status or need for a negative result to return to work. The health department started using this metric on May 1. To learn more, click here.
