Man charged with having meth, marijuana in his car at Franklin County Sheetz

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – The Franklin County Sheriff's Office arrested a 28-year-old Boones Mill man Thursday night in a Sheetz parking lot.

Jason Ellis Altice told Franklin County deputies he had both marijuana and meth in his car, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

Authorities responded at about 11:30 p.m. after receiving a suspicious person call at the Sheetz at 20281 Virgil H. Goode Highway.

Altice was arrested and charged with possession with two felonies and two misdemeanors: intent to distribute a controlled substance, sale and distribution of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. two felonies and two misdemeanors.

He is currently being held in the Western Virginia Regional Jail.
