Rockbridge County man, 27, killed in fiery crash

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. – A 27-year-old Rockbridge County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday. 

It happened on Route 39, about 1.5 miles west of Route 602 in Rockbridge County. 

State police say a 2014 Mazda 3 ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, then crossed the roadway. The car hit a tree and caught fire. 

Goshen resident Ryan David Hall died at the scene. State police were not able to identify him at the scene and sent his body to the medical examiner's office. 

The car was completely burned.

The crash remains under investigation.
