Campbell County Sheriff's Office investigates string of car burglaries

The vehicles were all in driveways

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. – The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is issuing a warning after a string of car break-ins. 

Six different residents reported that their vehicles were broken into either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning. This happened in the 1600 block of Leesville Road and the 100 and 200 blocks of Cattle Lane in the Evington area.

All of the vehicles were in driveways. Most of them were unlocked, but at least one was locked. Valuables were taken. 

The sheriff's office is reminding everyone not to leave valuables in their vehicles and not to leave keys in the ignition. They are also telling people to always lock your vehicle, even if it's in your driveway.
