Lyncburg police investigating package thefts at UPS

Employees reported two semi-trailers had been broken into

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Lynchburg police are investigating a break in at a UPS center.

Police say a little before 2:30 a.m. Monday they were called to the UPS customer center on Woodall Road.

They say employees reported two semi-trailers had been broken into and packages had been opened and items were taken. Investigators believe the suspects may have gained entry by cutting through the fence that surrounds the property.

UPS says it's working with customers who lost items and contacting sellers.

Police could not tell us what had been taken. As of right now, investigators don't have any suspects.
