Lynchburg organization will hold coat drive for kids

Organizers will have coat drive on Oct. 14

LYNCHBURG, Va.
With the first day of fall tomorrow, a local organization wants all Lynchburg kids to be warm when heading to school this year.

For the second year in a row One Voice One Community is accepting coat donations. Last year, the group donated more than 150 coats.

They've set a goal to give out 400 coats this year. Donations will be accepted between now and October.

“I just want to encourage the community that lets someone else be warm. We don't want not one kid at the bus stop,” said James Camm, pastor of Living Word Ministries.

If you would like to donate, organizers will be at the pavilion at Miller Park on Sept. 28 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Oct. 4 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and again Oct. 14.
