Pedestrian hit in Madison Heights parking lot, police say

MADISON HEIGHTS, Va. – State police are investigating after troopers say a woman tried to run over her husband in a parking lot.

Police responded to a parking lot in the 200 block of Amelon Square Plaza in Madison Heights at 2:52 p.m. after a report of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle.

Police say 27-year-old Angel Crews and her husband were having a domestic dispute when she got into her car and drove into her husband. She then stopped the car and waited on officers. 

The husband was taken to a nearby hospital and then flown to UVA for treatment of life-threatening injuries. 

Crews was taken into custody without incident and is facing several charges including attempted second-degree murder. She's being held without bond in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
