LYNCHBURG, Va. – More than 28,000 people hit the pavement in Lynchburg to kick off the holiday. The annual Turkey Trot 5K walk-run benefits Human Kind, a non-profit organization that provides several different programs to people across Central Virginia. Organizers say they collected about $100,000 during this year’s event.
