AT&T uses Virginia Tech Engineering Expo to discourage distracted driving

AT&T has virtual reality simulator to show dangers of distracted driving.

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech's Squires Student Center was filled with students Tuesday for the annual Engineering Expo.

About 300 companies looking for new talent turn out for the expo.

The AT&T booth is using the expo to discourage students from distracted driving. The company has a virtual reality simulator where students can experience firsthand how dangerous it is to take their eyes off the road and glance at a phone.

The experience is part of the AT&T "It Can Wait" campaign.

The Engineering Expo continues Wednesday.
