Court documents show DNA evidence ties Eisenahuer and Keepers to Nicole Lovell's death

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Prosecutors have newly filed evidence they say ties both David Eisenhauer and Natalie Keepers to 13-year-old Nicole Lovell's death and their attempt to hide her body.

10 News dug through paperwork the commonwealth filed this week, laying out evidence they say ties the two former Virginia Tech students to Nicole Lovell's 2016 murder.

DNA test results revealed Lovell's blood on one of Keepers' boots, as well as on a shovel, cleaning wipes and other items investigators say Eisenhauer and Keepers used in connection with Lovell's death, according to court documents.

That forensic analysis also revealed Eisenhauer's fingerprints on disinfecting wipes investigators collected.

The paperwork also said Keepers' fingerprints were on more disinfecting wipes, plastic bags and a shovel.

Both Eisenhauer and Keepers are being held without bond at the Montgomery County Jail. They're scheduled to stand trial next month.

A judge is still working to determine what parts of a recorded conversation Eisenhauer had with police will be allowed at trial.
