Dublin man arrested for making written threats against law enforcement

DUBLIN – Virginia State Police has charged James A. Burton Jr., 26, of Dublin, with one felony count of making a written threat to kill or do bodily harm to a person.

Police say the charge stemmed from a social media post by Burton in the wake of his father’s death following a shootout with police in the Town of Pulaski on May 14.
