Random act of kindness at Virginia Tech game goes viral

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The saying goes, it's not about what you do when people are watching, it's about what you do when they aren't watching.

However, that wasn't necessarily the case when a stranger caught a special moment between a man and a boy on camera during Saturday's Virginia Tech football game.

#Hokienation, this is what it's all about. This kids first VT game, and this nice gentleman down the aisle from us bought him his first VT tshirt. This is what being a #VirginiaTechHokie is all about. Share this video and lets find this VT fan and recognize him for his selflessness! #Hokies #VTfanphoto

The video has nearly 120,000 views on Facebook.

Brandon Jarrell met this family in the stands and says he noticed the young boy wasn't wearing any Virginia Tech gear.

He offered to buy the boy a Hokie T-shirt and a person in the stands behind the family was so touched, he recorded the whole exchange.

"The joy in his face when I came back and actually had a bag for him, it made my weekend. You know, not necessarily going to the game, but seeing that and being able to do that for him," said Jarrell.

He said he had no idea he was being filmed and only learned how popular the post was becoming on Sunday morning when a friend shared it with him.
