Tractor-trailer wreck on I-81 South causes major backup in Wythe County

WYTHE COUNTY, Va. – A tractor-trailer wreck is causing a major backup on I-81 Sunday morning. 

The southbound left lane is blocked at mile marker 67, which is near the Route 11 exit in Wytheville. 

There is a five-mile backup, as of 4:20 a.m. 

The Virginia Department of Transportation is reporting minor to moderate conditions there, meaning there are icy patches, and snow is sticking to the highway.
