ROANOKE, Va. – Police have no suspects after a midday shooting in Roanoke left three people hurt.
Witnesses told 10 News that the shooting followed a fight over a parking spot at Bob and Cheryl's Restaurant.
After the aggressor left, he came back with more people and got the other person to come outside, according to witnesses.
What started as a fist fight changed when guns came out.
"One was backing out while the other was pulling in, the truck was coming in, I heard him say something about I was just pulling in the lot and then I don't know what happened after that, when the gunshots started going off everyone went running," said Doug Shaffner, who witnessed what happened.
Authorities were dispatched to the scene of the shooting in the 3500 block of Shenandoah Avenue Wednesday just before 1 p.m.
A man at the scene who had been shot was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
As officers were clearing the scene, dispatch advised two men had arrived at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem with gunshot wounds.
Police believe those men were involved in the Shenandoah Avenue shooting.
At this time, no one has been charged regarding this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
