As temperatures drop, Roanoke Rescue Mission in need of winter clothing items

Rescue mission currently has zero winter clothing items

ROANOKE, Va. –

As temperatures continue to drop, the Roanoke Rescue Mission is asking the community to help with winter clothing donations.

This year, the mission is down on winter clothing supplies.

The shelter currently needs hats, scarves and gloves for men, women and children in all sizes.

The mission is not only to collect the items for families at the shelter, but also for those in need throughout the community.

"We have nothing! Our boxes are empty, so that's why we're calling for the community to please pull together and provide these items," Stacy Boris, special projects coordinator at the Roanoke Rescue Mission, said.

You can drop off donated clothing at the rescue mission lobby.
