Person taken to hospital, another arrested after late-night stabbing in Roanoke

RONAOKE, Va.Update, 10:05 a.m. Sunday:
Roanoke police said Sunday they arrested Carl Davis, 43, of Roanoke in the Saturday incident.

Police said Davis forced his way into a residence and assaulted the victim, who they said is an adult male. They did not identify the victim but said he had multiple stab wounds.

The victim was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police found Davis at a residence nearby. He's facing charges for malicious wounding and burglary.

Detectives are still investigating. Police said they responded to the call in the 300 block of 9th Street Southeast Saturday around 10:16 p.m.

A person was taken to the hospital Saturday night after a stabbing at the apartment buildings located behind Big Lick General Store.

Roanoke police said a suspect has been arrested.
