Police make arrest after string of business burglaries in Roanoke County

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Roanoke County Police say one man is in custody after a string of burglaries that hit businesses across the county.

There were more than 10 business burglaries on Electric Road and Brambleton Avenue in Roanoke County in April, and because of our recent reports showing you multiple surveillance videos of the suspect committing crimes such as break-ins, police say one man is in jail.

Police say after our story aired on May 23, with security video of the person of interest, they received an anonymous tip identifying one of the individuals in the security video. 

After investigating, detectives were able to recover some of the stolen property from several businesses including medical offices.

Police believe 34-year-old Raphael Francis McNamara-Harvey used a credit card he stole from a Brambleton Avenue dentist office.

He was seen at a Kroger where he used the card to make purchases. 

Police are still looking for more suspects related to the case.
