Roanoke police serve more than 40 outstanding warrants during Sweep Day

Roanoke police pleased with number of outstanding warrants served

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke City Police served a good number of warrants as a participant in the National Family Violence Sweep Day.

Police say they were very pleased with the number of outstanding domestic violence-related warrants served.

Police attempted to serve 87 warrants and protective orders during Thursday’s initiative.

Out of those attempts, police served 12 felony warrants, 14 misdemeanor and 18 protective orders.

More than 1,500 law enforcement agencies participated across the nation.
