Search warrant reveals new details in Freeny murder investigation

BOONES MILL, Va. – WSLS 10 is learning new details about a murder case in Franklin County.

Two days after she had been reported missing, Brittany Freeny's body was discovered on Murray Knob Road in Boones Mill on May 3. Lamarre Camper is charged with murder.

Now, Franklin County investigators are requesting all medical records for Freeny, including psychiatric, physiological, hospitalization and emergency room reports from January 2016 up until her death.

A new search warrant reveals Camper made statements about Freeny with specific details that have been corroborated in whole or in part by the investigation.

The warrant states: "The medical records are necessary to corroborate information pertaining to a specific condition or diagnosis, regardless of whether it was confirmed or perceived by the victim and further the investigation of her death."

Camper is expected to have a two-day trial in October.Â
