DANVILLE, Va. – In Danville, Black Friday shopping seemed to be going smoothly Friday morning.
Around 10 a.m., parking lots at the big-box stores were still full but there weren't any major traffic jams or huge crowds rushing into the stores.

Ginyah Mullins said she was a little apprehensive about shopping because of how crazy Black Friday often gets.
However, she said she didn't have a bad experience.
"Not too hurried or hustle-and-bustley," Mullins said.
"They had extra lanes open here at Target and they had some helpers that would let you know when someone was open. I made my purchases, went through the line, and bing bang boom I'm done."
She said TVs and Hatchimals seemed to be what many people were buying.
