HENRY COUNTY - A Henry County murder suspect is scheduled to be back in court after his competency was restored.

Benjamin Tovar is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Friday.

In 2016, a psychologist declared him mentally incompetent to stand trial and he was ordered to receive treatment at a psychiatric hospital to restore his competency.

Tovar is charged with second-degree murder, accused of killing his co-worker, Sandesh Dahavan, in 2015 in the hotel room in which they were staying at the Knights Inn.
