The drivers helped the students carve two pumpkins.

They also talked to the students about NASCAR.

Briscoe said events like this are important because they can help inspire the next generation of race fans.

"Just having that connection. For a lot of kids they may have never seen a race or never seen a race car driver," Briscoe noted. "So, that can just trigger the connection to where they want to come to a race. If they come to a race, they might be hooked for life."

When asked who would carve the better pumpkin, Cindric joked that Briscoe had never carved a pumpkin before.

"He was robbed of a childhood," Cindric said, smiling. "He's going to relive his childhood. Third-graders are going to help him with it."

Kids 12 and under get in free to all NASCAR Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series races.

Both Briscoe and Cindric will race in the Teaxs Roadhouse 200 at the speedway on Saturday.
