Sheriff's office identifies Axton man who died in tree cutting accident

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. - The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a 67-year-old man died in a tree cutting accident Thursday morning. 

Wallace Teague Sr., of Axton Virginia, was struck by a tree limb and died, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The deputies responded to the 2100 block of Campview Road at 9:34 a.m. for a report of a man who was injured while cutting a tree. When they arrived, the man had died. 

No foul play is suspected.
