People could stop by a table at the entrance and ask the museum's director questions about the items on display.

If the director couldn't answer the question, they won various prizes, including free coffee and coupons for the museum's gift shop.

The museum's director, Dr. Joe Keiper, said the event helps people learn and increases the likelihood that they'll come back.

"People remember the person-to-person contact," Keiper said.

"So, 'Stump The Director' gives them a chance to come ask questions about new items that we put on display and get a chance to maybe stump me with a tough one. It'd be a lot of fun and I hope I hope it would give them a good experience."

Friday's event was a first for the museum.
