Elderly woman busted for alleged drug dealings

75-year-old out on $50,000 bond

Betty Jordan, 75, was arrested after police raided her home and seized several different drugs and thousands of dollars in cash.

Local Tennessee news station WREG reports officers found more than 1,000 prescription pills including morphine, oxycodone and xanax, along with heroin and $12,000 in cash.

"If it's been going on for 20 years, that would put her in her fifties when she started doing this," said Decatur County Sheriff Byrd.

Jordan faces three counts of drug manufacturing, delivery, sale and possession. She is out on a $50,000 bond and has been hospitalized following the arrest.
