"The safety of the mail and our employees is of most importance," said a Canada Post spokesperson.

A University of British Columbia expert in bird behavior says the response by Canada Post has been "over-the-top" and crows don't pose any serious danger to mail carriers.

Canuck earned his fame in 2016 when he stole a knife from a crime scene.
