If you're looking to spruce up your home, you can get some ideas at the Greater Roanoke Home and Garden Show.  More than 120 exhibitors will set up with the latest indoor and outdoor home trends.  Mark Bowe of DIY Network's Barnwood Builders will be there.  The show runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Berglund Center.  Tickets are $8.50 for adults.  Seniors get in for $7.50.

The Salem Stampede Rodeo returns to the Salem Civic Center this weekend.  Enjoy the bull riding, steer wrestling, calf roping and barrel racing action.  The fun gets underway Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.  Tickets start at $18.

Enjoy fine wine from around the world at the Danville Science Center's Corks and Forks.  In addition to the wine is heavy hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction featuring trips to Cabo San Lucas, Italy and Monterey.  Tickets are $50.  The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Hit the pedal and go for a spin at Martinsville Speedway at Fast Friday.  The speedway opens its gates, allowing you to go for a spin on the half mile track.  For $20, you can take a dozen laps behind a pace car, going up to 65 miles per hour.
