SALEM, Va. – Great talent is a given on Salem's roster, and this year is no different. The third seed in the Region 4- D bracket, the 8-2 Spartans mashed Charlottesville 70-34 behind a career performance from De'Angelo Ramsey.
The Spartans senior running back went for 347 yards on 18 carries and five first-half touchdowns. Ramsey dominated the Black Knights with runs of 37, 18, 34, 44 and 54 yards in the Salem victory.
Salem advances in the Class 4 playoffs, and Ramsey gallops home with the honor as our 10 Sports 1st and 10 player of the week.
