Richmond (WSLS 10)  It's the seventh day of training camp for the Washington Redskins and it's an extra special today because of the Houston Texans were in town.  While it's the Texans first year to come to Redskins training camp, it's also Washington's Kyshoen Jarrett's first year here.  The rookie safety from Virginia Tech is getting used to the change.  "I feel like the transition is going over good with the veterans, they're helping me out, leading me in a positive way and providing a lot of wisdom so I can come out here and perform well," said Kyshoen Jarrett, Redskins Safety.

One of those veterans helping Jarrett out, is fellow Hokie and three time pro-bowler DeAngelo Hall, who returns this season after recovering from a torn Achilles.  "You know, he's always there for me to ask questions in terms of what he sees out in the field and you know, it's a different angle for me but we are all one unit out there so it kind of helps me out too for sure," Jarrett said.  Jarrett joins a defense that struggled in 2014.  Having learned under Bud Foster, Jarrett hopes to contribute to the defense now led by new defensive coordinator Joe Barry, but the Hokie isn't the only one on the defense with a lunchpail mentality. ""I bring my lunchpail to work everyday, those guys are bringing their A-game every single day to get better and because we all have the same goal, we all have the same mindset when it comes to practice, that goal of achieving a top 5 defense," said Keenan Robinson, Outside Linebacker.

As for Jarrett, his role on the defense this year is still unknown, but he's willing to play anywhere to help the team. ""I'd say everything to be honest, you know I could play the safety, the nickel and I'm pretty much involved in  all special teams so I'm taking it all in and enjoying it all and having fun with it for sure," said Jarrett.
