GOTW Northside at Lord Botetourt, Sept. 25, 2015

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Week 5's 1st & 10 Game of the Week took us to the home of the Cavaliers where a relatively new, already heated rivalry will play out.

Lord Botetourt and Northside is a game of neighborly pride, but the Blue Ridge district still carries plenty of weight.

The Vikings of Coach Burt Torrence come in 2-2, but clearly one of the most talented teams in 3A football. They expect to be a contender come playoff time.

They can pound it or get their athletes, like star slot receiver Tre Jackson out in space and beat you that way. They lost to 4A power Salem in week 4, but it's a game Coach Torrence said he's always happy to play.

Lord Botetourt is a new-area power on the horizon, thanks to Coach Jamie Harless. He's turned the Cavaliers - in his fourth year - into a playoff contender. And two years ago, LB was Northside's lone loss on their way to a state title. They will bring the power football right at you with tailback Noah Fletcher leading the way.

It's a mammoth collision September 25 in Daleville.
