BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - Virginia Tech's wrestling team is ranked #12 in  the country and opened up conference action against #15 UNC Saturday in Blacksburg. The Hokies won 27-13 and while they are off to a  good start, the wrestlers are taking the season in stride.

"You know, I want to win every match I can but right now I'm not putting pressure on myself to say 'this guy is ranked,' I'm focused on myself and building to the NCAA tournament and be as good as I can and beat the best guys by improving," said Solomon Chishko.

"I'm just worried about tweaking things and going match by match so every time I go out on the mat I am taking the little skills I developed in the room and just taking things one match at a time right now and improving the little areas," explained  Zack Zavatsky.

The Hokies return to action January 29th against West Virginia at Cassell Coliseum.
