Phelps in 2013 starred in Season 5 the Golf Channel reality show The Haney Project in an effort to improve his game, and just one year earlier, at the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links, an annual pro-am event on the European Tour, he made one of the more improbable putts you'll ever see.
As Rich Lerner and Irish Olympic golf captain Paul McGinley recall in the video above, Phelps, then a 16 handicap, sunk a 153-putt during the second round not even two months removed from winning four gold medals in London.
