Parry McCluer football coach resigns

Mike Craft will be Rockbridge Co. principal

ROANOKE, Va. – After six years as head coach of the Fighting Blues, Mike Craft has resigned and will be principal of Rockbridge County High School. The longtime coach confirmed with WSLS on Wednesday that he accepted the position. 

During his tenure, Parry McCluer posted a 49-23 overall record and appeared in the VHSL playoffs twice in the past five seasons.

Craft said he's finishing up his doctorate at Liberty, and felt as if this was a good time to make the change.
