Raiders senior scores seven times in latest win

APPOMATTOX, Va. –    The two-time defending Class 2 state champion Appomattox County has one blemish in three seasons. JaVon Scruggs looks committed to making sure there isn't another.   The senior signal-caller showed previous unbeaten William Campbell that Dogwood District supremacy remains with the Raiders to the tune of a 40-point win.
      Scruggs torched the Generals for seven touchdowns, including five touchdown passes in the Appomattox win.
      The touchdown strikes were 61, 2, 18, 22 and 37 yards.  The touchdown runs were 60 and 3 yards.  Appomattox captured the victory by a 68-28 count as the Raiders improve to 6-1 on the season .
